WhatsApp & Messaging Usage.

How customer communication works inside LaunchPoint Business OS. Last updated: July 2026

1. Why we use WhatsApp

Most South African customers already message businesses on WhatsApp. LaunchPoint Business OS lets a business receive those enquiries, respond quickly, capture the lead and keep the full conversation history in one place, instead of losing enquiries across personal phones.

2. Whose number is used

Each business connects its own WhatsApp Business number to its own workspace. LaunchPoint does not send messages from a client's number for any purpose other than operating that client's own customer conversations.

3. How a conversation is handled

4. Consent and opt-out

Conversations are customer-initiated. A customer can stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP or by asking the business to stop contacting them. We do not support unsolicited bulk marketing messaging.

5. Message data

Message content and contact identifiers are stored in the business's workspace so the team can service the enquiry. Access credentials for connected messaging accounts are stored encrypted and are never exposed in the browser. See Data & Automation Handling and our Privacy Policy.

6. Platform status

WhatsApp is a product of Meta Platforms, Inc. LaunchPoint Consulting is an independent company and does not claim any partnership, endorsement or approval by Meta. Availability of WhatsApp features depends on the client's own approved WhatsApp Business account.
